The Holistic Wellness Event 2023

September 23 • Northeastern State University Broken Arrow • 9 am – 3 pm

Oklahoma’s largest Holistic Health and Wellness event is back, with two stages, over 50 holistically-minded vendors, speakers, workshops, shopping, raffle tables, giveaways, community, and more!!

Join us on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at Northeastern State University, Broken Arrow.

The first 50 registered attendees receive a free swag bag filled with goodies from our vendors and local community! One per household please.

Purpose of The Holistic Wellness Event: To unite under one roof all the natural, holistically-minded practitioners and resources for the community to find your health answers faster!

This is our 4th year and we are adding topics of soil health, local, regeneratively grown food, homeschooling, homesteading, and more.

Vendors, Speakers, Workshops, Shopping, Community.

Topics include:

Free yoga, homeschool Q&A panel, chiropractic, functional bodywork, healthy aging, nutrition coaching, reiki, acupuncture, food trucks, a musical performance, healthy finances, and more.

We have a huge raffle with many holistic goods and services that you can enter for a chance to win, supporting Oklahoma Center for Wellness, the nonprofit hosting the event.

Oklahoma Center for Wellness is building a sustainable wellness center in Northeastern Oklahoma. Ruff Rescue Runway Adoption Event

September 23 • 1000 E Memphis St • 10 am – 12 pm

Come meet some of Broken Arrow’s first responders and some of their furry friends.

Police and Fire workers walk the runway with adorable doggos from the Broken Arrow Animal Shelter and local rescues in hopes of finding them a “furever” home.

All “furry models” will be available for a meet and greet following the show.

Graciously hosted at K9 Manners & More located at 1000 E Memphis St, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.

Event is free.

Door prizes are available.

Bring wet puppy food or dry dog food to receive a ticket for a door prize.

Donations benefit local animal area rescues.

The Rose Festival

September 29 – October 1 • Main Street

The annual Broken Arrow Rose Festival is back and we are combining forces with the Chalk It Up! Art Festival to provide a spectacular weekend full of free family-friendly fun.

Friday evening Sept 29, 5 – 8:30 pm & Saturday, Sept 30, 9 am – 6 pm, Keep Broken Arrow Beautiful invites you to the beautiful Rose District at 302 S Main St., voted one of the nation’s top 50 Most Charming Main Streets by USA Today. Stop by our Welcome Booth for a free Rose Bracelet! Activities include Chalk It Up’s amazing chalk art competition and our Annual Rose Show. Garden experts will be on hand to teach you about monarchs, roses, and pollinators. The Rose Festival & Chalk It Up will combine to create the Art Contest with an Art Exhibit at the Arts@302 Gallery. Kids will find a lot to do during the weekend festival with a big free Kid Zone on Friday evening & Saturday, and a Kite Event on Sunday at the Event Park.

Inspyral Circus returns with street performers and our very own stilt-walking Rose Prince & Princess. Special dazzling Light Show at 8 pm Friday.

The shops on Main Street will be open for festival-goers to shop and local artists will be showcasing their fares. Local restaurants and food trucks will be open to satisfy whatever your palate might desire.

The Festival concludes Sunday, Oct 1st, 10 am – 4 pm, with Rose Kites over Broken Arrow at the BA Events Park at 21101 E 101st Street. Free kites to decorate with roses or whatever you like. Tulsa Wind Riders Kite Club will fly their large kites, have a Candy Drop, and demonstrate kite fighting! Pack a picnic or enjoy the convenience of the food trucks and enjoy watching big, bigger, & huge kites soar over the Broken Arrow sky.

All events are free to the public.

Chalk It Up

September 29 – October 1 • Main Street

The City of Broken Arrow and ARTSOK: The Regional Arts Alliance of Broken Arrow present the 11th annual “Chalk It Up!” An Art Festival.

This festival begins on Friday, September 29th from 5 pm-9 pm and continues on Saturday, 30th from 9 am-5 pm. This is a family event and is free to the public. It will take place on Main Street in Broken Arrow, directly in the middle of the Rose District!

THE EXPERIENCE: -Chalk art competition -Local artist vendors selling their handmade original work. -“Whimsy of the Garden” visual art contest held inside Arts@302. -Performance Art (living Statues, jugglers, unicyclists) -Exciting local restaurants

CHALK ART COMPETITION: 2023 Theme: “Life is Like That!”

Over 50 artists of all ages will get a 6’x6′ or 10’x10′ space on Main Street to create their colorful chalk masterpieces. Competing artists will each be eligible for prizes in “Best Overall”, “Best Use of Materials”, and “Best Interpretation of Theme”. All 10 prize winners will be awarded a $100 cash prize.

Artists will begin their chalk drawing on Friday night 5 pm-8 pm and complete them on Saturday 9 am-2 pm. Your $40 registration covers the cost of chalk, a festival t-shirt, and a goody bag.

Rose Kites Over Broken Arrow

October 1 • Events Park at 21101 E 101st St • 10 am – 4 pm

Ready, set, fly! Rose Kites Over Broken Arrow is the third day of the annual Rose Festival. It’s a family-friendly event where there is something for everyone!

We will be providing free kites to decorate with roses or whatever you would like. The Tulsa Wind Riders Kite Club will provide a candy drop and kite fighting demonstrations. Kite artists and enthusiasts come from surrounding states to fly their big, bigger, & biggest kites.

There is a huge Historical Kite Exhibit, one of the largest in the southwest. It is a must-see! They have kites from the early 1900s, amazing kites used in WWII, and beautiful kites from Japan and China just to name a few.

You can bring a picnic lunch or enjoy yummy food and snacks from our food trucks.

Hops, Bops, & Bites

October 7 • New Orleans Square Southwest Quadrant • 5 pm – 10 pm

The City of Broken Arrow in partnership with the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of the wildly successful New Orleans Square event: Hops, Bops, & Bites! This event is a celebration of local music, beer, wine, and food! Entry to the event is free and open to the public.

Cool Grilles Classic Car Show

October 14 • The Rose District • 9 am – 3 pm

The 6th Annual Cool Grilles Classic Car Show brings classic cars parked in the Rose District competing for trophies in various classes and categories. Free entry for visitors and includes food trucks, vendors, and classic Rock and Roll music.

Main Street from College to Fort Worth will be closed beginning at 5:30 a.m. through 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Sensory Sensitive Pumpkin Painting Party

October 20 • The Rose District Plaza • 3-5 pm

The Rose District is once again partnering with Autism Oklahoma to provide a space in the Rose District for neurodiverse individuals to enjoy the holidays!

Come to the Rose District and paint your own pumpkin! Feel free to come dressed in your Halloween costume!

Trash Bash & Recycling Rally

October 21 • Events Park 21101 E 101st St • 8 am-Noon

The Trash Bash is Broken Arrow’s litter cleanup day in which groups of people volunteer to beautify their neighborhoods by picking up trash and debris from our roads and waterways.

The Recycling Rally is a recycling drop-off event for hard-to-recycle items like electronics, sharps, batteries, tires (limit of 10), and more!

Green Country Hot Air Balloon Festival

October 27 – 28 • Events Park 21101 E 101st St

Come join us for some family-friendly fun and support the Gatesway Foundation’s mission of supporting adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities!

2023 Safety Spooktacular

October 28 • The Rose District • 6 -8 pm

The Broken Arrow Police Department is hosting the 22nd Safety Spooktacular on Saturday, October 28th from 6 PM-8 PM in the Rose District.

The 2023 Safety Spooktacular is a long-time family-friendly trick-or-treating event off Main Street. Safety Spooktacular aims to bring the Broken Arrow community together in a large block party spanning seven city blocks, with a focus on public safety.

The goal is to allow our police and fire departments to engage with families, answer questions about public safety, heighten crime prevention, and strengthen neighborhood spirit.

There will be tons of candy, hot dogs, popcorn, water, Broken Arrow Police and Fire, a live band, bounce houses, and countless giveaways. Everything is FREE! More than 100 other organizations will be lined up and down the Rose District handing out candy and resources. Plus, there will once again be a costume contest! First National Bank in Broken Arrow is sponsoring the prizes. You can sign up for the contest at First National Bank that evening.

Veterans Day Parade

Honor and express gratitude to our veterans by attending the annual Veterans Day Parade.
